The Schulze-Schickert Session, finally?
This album is made now and ready for sale. The friendly Russians just told me:

We have them on stock: the Vinyl and both versions of the CD are in our warehouse. To be honest: the CDs in digipacks are even sold out, you were right about the quantities. So we should order some more from the factory. ... You will see, the releases look fantastic. ... In this week we send you your copies.
All the best, Olga ( ...see small photo )

The dealers in Germany, Italy, England, etc. should have them very soon. If they care. And order.
.

In the March issue of the French TRAX magazine (Le Magazine des Musiques Electroniques) are two articles about KS: "L'homme machine" et "Close to Klaus". The latter is from our French friend and film maker James L. Frachon and he writes about his collaboration with Klaus, from his first mail to me in 2005, via his filming for Schulze's concert DVDs, until his recent animated KS film.

The Schulze-Schickert Session 1975

The Russians were busy to celebrate Xmas (for two weeks), then there was the MIDEM in the South of France, ...but "now we are beginning to prepare one of our best releases" as they have told me, ....two weeks ago.
And whoopee: The release of "The Schulze-Schickert Session 1975" is announced for the 4th of March. Available from the dealer of your trust (and not just in Russia).
.

.

The MIRUMIR label is an LP label and the main release is the LP (they love vinyl). But of course they also do CDs. In addition the do a limited edition of only 300 "digipack" CDs, all numbered from 1/300 to 300/300 (...because there are people who buy these things?! ...even if it contains the same music as not "normal" CD).
Catalogue numbers are: MIR 100704 LP, and MIR 100704 CD.

SHADOWLANDS, at long last

I can give now the tracks, same as I did for the official KS website:
CD 1:
1. Shadowlights
2. In Between
3. Licht und Schatten

CD 2 (Ltd. Edition Bonus)
1. The Rhodes Violin
2. Tibetan Loop
.

The release is planned for 18 January 2013 (see PS and PPS). It's offered as one CD (CD 1 only) ...and as a Limited-Edition-Double-CD.
About this "Ltd." idea let me quote a distressed Oliver Hardy: "I have n o t h i n g to say!"

.
PS on 3 January: "planned", yes. The release date was moved now, up a week or two later.
PPS on 5 January: Correction: Five weeks later; the release date is now announced for 22 February.

In the Moog for Love

Several times announced and long awaited: The 10-minute animated film is completed now and the french tv channel Canal+ will air it on 27 January. The title will be: "L'homme à la tête de Schulze" by James L. Frachon. The English title is "In the Moog for Love". Here is the trailer:
.

.
The three former trailers for this film you can still watch, just type "Frachon" in SEARCH and it will show you where to find.
.
Not here, but there is also a short film of the awesome Lisa Gerrard from the tour with KS in 2009, made by the same homme de ciné James L. Frachon. It's from the German town of Essen, where KS did NOT perform; just his equipment was on stage (but this is another story).

Another historic recording

The Russian label who did successfully MIDI KLASSIK will get from me another recording; this time it's a first release: "The Schulze-Schickert Session 1975" which I had recorded 37 years ago in our living room. More in the official KS website, soon.

Out of the Blue

A film crew was recently filmed in the Reims Cathedral, not really doing something. Probably they shoot already now some church images for a coming "40 years of TD at Reims Cathedral" (?)
On 13 December 1974 the French town of Reims was indeed an important place for a trio called "Tangerine Dream". Here they had a largely promoted concert for the invited world press & a few thousand paying fans. Supporting the concert was Nico, ...and I was the concert's stage manager.
At the very end of that meaningless video, the crew is seen in a little restaurant ...and after 9 minutes, at the film's end and show-stopper, the cameraman zooms in on a bottle on the table (& the music changes from old T.D. to a part of Manuel's "e2-e4") and this bottle shows, out of the blue....

.
.
... Klaus Schulze's well-known "Mirage" cover image.
