Several times announced and long awaited: The 10-minute animated film is completed now and the french tv channel Canal+ will air it on 27 January. The title will be: "L'homme à la tête de Schulze" by James L. Frachon. The English title is "In the Moog for Love". Here is the trailer:

Not here, but there is also a short film of the awesome Lisa Gerrard from the tour with KS in 2009, made by the same homme de ciné James L. Frachon. It's from the German town of Essen, where KS did NOT perform; just his equipment was on stage (but this is another story).

Berlin ist nicht mehr grau, sondern zugeschneit.
Ich hatte im Sommer zugesagt, für das Grundstück (und den Fußgängerweg davor) den Schnee-Räum-Dienst zu übernehmen; in der Hoffnung: nun, das wird schon nicht so schlimm. Die bisher beauftragten Firmen waren zwar alle teuer, aber erbrachten nur mangelhafte bis miese Leistung. Ergo, mein kecker Spruch in der Versammlung der Eigentümer: "Dat kann ick bessa!"
Und nun wurde es genau so schlimm: Schneefall gestern, den ganzen Tag. Mein Hemd war klatschnass vor Schweiß und abends fiel ich schon um acht total fertig ins Bett. ...bin ja nicht mehr der Jüngste.
...und heut' früh wieder raus, den Rest nochmal ordentlich beseitigt und erneut Rutschfestes gestreut. Nun hat die liebe Seele Ruh'. ...bis zum nächsten Schneefall.

The Russian label who did successfully MIDI KLASSIK will get from me another recording; this time it's a first release: "The Schulze-Schickert Session 1975" which I had recorded 37 years ago in our living room. More in the official KS website, soon.

So sieht's bei uns in diesen Tagen aus: Julia hat Fotos gemacht. Bin ganz neidisch: sowas gelingt mir nie (...naja: selten).

A film crew was recently filmed in the Reims Cathedral, not really doing something. Probably they shoot already now some church images for a coming "40 years of TD at Reims Cathedral" (?)
On 13 December 1974 the French town of Reims was indeed an important place for a trio called "Tangerine Dream". Here they had a largely promoted concert for the invited world press & a few thousand paying fans. Supporting the concert was Nico, ...and I was the concert's stage manager.
At the very end of that meaningless video, the crew is seen in a little restaurant ...and after 9 minutes, at the film's end and show-stopper, the cameraman zooms in on a bottle on the table (& the music changes from old T.D. to a part of Manuel's "e2-e4") and this bottle shows, out of the blue....

Kürbis ist wirklich das letzte: geschmacklos und, wie Siebeck drüben - sehr zu Recht - schreibt: dagegen ist Blumenkohl eine Aromabombe.
Wie auch immer...
Eine Geschichte, kurz: Mein Opa selig, geboren 1876 auf’m Dorf weit im Süd-Osten, irgendwo hinter Schlesien, als der anno 1960 in seinen letzten Jahren bei uns in Berlin Kreuzberg wohnte, meinte, als er mal Ananas (aus der Dose) zum Dessert bekam: “Der Kürbis schmeckt aber komisch.” Dies neumodische Zeugs (Ananas) kannte und mochte er gar nicht. Ihm stand der Sinn nach Kürbis (...und er war auch sonst von recht schlichter Natur, der gute Mann).

Julia hat ein Einsehen: kein Kürbis zur Kürbiszeit, auf keinen Fall. Dafür eine Apfeltorte. Die vielen Kleingartenbewohner hier um die Ecke verschenken seit Wochen ihre Äpfel an Spaziergänger; also freundlich lächeln, plaudern & fragen, oder gleich die an die Zäune gehängten Tüten voller Äpfel mitnehmen ...und Apfeltorte backen. Und, dank Julia, sie schmeckt (die Torte)! ... Besser als fader Kürbis, in welcher Form auch immer.
